METRO US MOVING TO NEW PREMISES

Metropolitan’s US headquarters is moving to new premises. Effective Monday November 23, we will be located at 8106 S. 216th Street in Kent. Telephone and fax numbers remain unchanged.

KENTWOOD FEATURED IN MAGAZINE MAKEOVER

Toronto-based interior designer Jeffrey Fisher recently chose Kentwood floors for a starring role in a challenging condo makeover which was featured in the November 2009 issue of Canadian Living Magazine.

Fisher’s assignment was to create a sense of style and space in a very compact downtown condo. The choice of Kentwood Wide Plank Engineered American Walnut flooring helped add continuity and sophistication, as well as unifying the various rooms to create a greater sense of space. Fisher contrasted the dark flooring with light colored furniture to add drama to even the smallest of rooms.

KATHY PRAMHUS APPOINTED TO LEAD US DESIGN DIVISION

Kathy Pramhus has been appointed to the new position of manager for our US-based Architectural and Design (AD) division. In addition to overseeing all Metro’s AD activities in US markets, Kathy, who is based in our Kent office, will also be working personally with AD clients in Washington state. Kathy brings over thirty years of design and construction experience to her new position, including several years in the commercial flooring industry. Kathy is passionate about seeking out sustainable solutions, so she will be an excellent fit as the industry becomes ever more focused on green building. METRO OMAHA NOW OPEN

Metropolitan has officially opened our newest sales and distribution center in Omaha, serving customers throughout Nebraska and Iowa. The new facility is managed by Trevor Hayden, a long time midwest resident and hardwood installer. Trevor is looking forward to introducing his customers to the new expanded Kentwood collection, and helping area designers and decorators to find the perfect hardwood solutions for their projects.
