- 1992 - Metropolitan Hardwood Floors established in Vancouver, Canada
- 1993 - Export division opened to serve Pacific Rim markets
- 1996 – Metropolitan USA established to serve customers in Pacific Northwest, Alaska and Hawaii
- 1999 - New Canadian administration & distribution facility opened
- 2003 – Introduced exclusive new Kentwood Collection of exotic & specialty floors
- 2004 - Canadian operations relocated to new & larger administration, showroom & distribution facilities on Annacis Island in Delta, BC
- 2005 - US operations expanded to add additional warehouse and distribution facilities
- 2006 - Metropolitan awarded FSC Chain of Custody Certification, enabling the company to sell FSC certified products
- 2006 - European office established to distribute The Kentwood Collection in Europe
- 2007 - Metropolitan East opens in Ontario to distribute The Kentwood Collection in eastern Canada

Their LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System™ offers certification for sustainable businesses, homes, hospitals, schools, and neighborhoods. USGBC is dedicated to expanding green building practices and education. |

The Canada Green Building Council is a broad-based inclusive coalition of representatives from different segments of the design and building industry focused on accelerating the design and construction of green buildings in Canada. The CaGBC oversees
LEED® Canada, an adaptation of the USGBC system, tailored specifically for Canadian climates, construction practices and regulations. |

The International Wood Products Association is committed to the promotion and enhancement of responsible trade in the imported hardwood and softwood products industry. Among its many significant activities is the management of Conservation, Utilization, Reforestation, Education (CURE), an environmental education and outreach program that works successfully to protect both the tropical forests and the international tropical timber trade. |

The Interior Designers Institute of British Columbia is the self-regulatory professional body for interior design practitioners in British Columbia. IDIBC’s mandate is to serve the interests of both the public and the interior design industry, seeking to advance the profession, benefit public health, safety and welfare, contribute to the enhancement of the environment and increase the perception, appreciation and value of design in the community. |
